About Vet Bill Saver
Vet Bill Saver is operated by Superwild Ltd and was built after the CMA published its March 2026 final order on UK veterinary services. The order found UK dog owners were paying more for prescription medication at vet practices than at VMD-approved online pharmacies. The CMA estimate puts the typical owner overspend at over £200 a year. For a senior dog on multiple chronic medications, our data puts it at £600 to £900 a year.
What we do
Vet Bill Saver compares prescription dog medication prices across the six VMD approved UK online pharmacies. We list every medication on the VMD register, 725 plus products. For each one we show the typical vet price, the cheapest online price, and the saving after the 21 pound plus 12.50 pound prescription fee cap that becomes mandatory on 23 September 2026.
How we make money
We sort by price first, never by commission. We earn affiliate commission on outbound clicks to pharmacies that have a programme; that is how the site sustains itself. The price you pay is identical whether you click our link or go direct. Full affiliate disclosure on every page footer.
What we are not
We are not vets. Nothing on this site is medical advice, always speak to your own vet about clinical care. What this site is useful for is the cost side: where to get a written prescription, what to pay for it, and how to switch a chronic medication from vet dispensary to an online pharmacy without breaking continuity of care.
Editorial position
Vet Bill Saver ranks pharmacies by price, not by commission. If a more expensive pharmacy paid us more, recommending them would destroy the trust this site depends on, so we don't. The comparison engine sorts cheapest first and the affiliate disclosure is on every page footer.
